Ryan Hinds Inks Extension

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that Canadian defensive back Ryan Hinds has signed a contract extension with the team that will keep him in Hamilton through the 2014 season.

“Ryan is a solid all-around defensive back, a very intelligent player and a great tackler.  He gets better with every game and will continue to improve as his career progresses,” said vice president of football operations Bob O’Billovich.

In two seasons after being selected in the second round (13th overall) of the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft, Hinds has made 60 defensive tackles and one interception while starting 18 of the 21 games he’s appeared in.  Hinds registered 36 defensive tackles in 12 starts in 2011.

“The Tiger-Cats organization is a great fit for me and I’m excited to continue my career in black and gold.  I’m always focused on getting better and winning games, and we’re building a winning atmosphere here.  I love the fan and community support that we receive in Hamilton,” said Hinds.
