TIGER-CATS CONTINUE PARTNERSHIP WITH UFC STAR MARK HOMINICK
Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has expanded their innovative partnership with UFC featherweight athlete Mark ‘The Machine’ Hominick.
As part of this expanded partnership, Hominick will host MMA training sessions for Ticats players during the off-season.
“I’m very excited to team up with the Tiger-Cats and, personally, I’m eager to work with the players to help prepare them for next season,” said Hominick.
Tiger-Cats President Scott Mitchell commented, “Mark’s nickname ‘The Machine’ is well deserved and as one of the fittest and most versatile professional athletes in the world, I know our players are excited to work with him and use some of his techniques to better themselves as football players.”
This Saturday, Hominick will once again don a Ticats hat as he enters the octagon and will sport the team’s logo on his shorts during his fight against Chan Sung Jung at UFC in Toronto. Hominick’s banner will also feature the Ticats logo and prominent visuals for Ticats.ca.
“I am appreciative of the continued support and encouragement of the Tiger-Cats and their fans, and can’t wait to have them in my corner at UFC 140,” Hominick continued.
At UFC 129 in Toronto last April, Hominick represented the Ticats admirably, battling featherweight champion Jose Aldo for five rounds while wearing the team’s logo on his shorts, hat and banner. Hominick and fellow UFC star Sam Stout appeared at MMA Day at Ivor Wynne Stadium earlier this year.
Ticats fans can win a pair of tickets to see Hominick in action at UFC 140 by renewing their season seats by December 7. Check Ticats.ca for more information.
