GLENN HONOURED WITH TOM PATE AWARD
Hamilton, Ontario – Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Kevin Glenn has been honoured as the 2011 Tom Pate Award recipient in recognition of his contributions to his team, his community and his Association.
For the last two seasons, Glenn has teamed up with Tim Hortons for the Kevin Glenn’s Touchdowns for Kids program. For every touchdown Glenn throws, local Tim Hortons store owners donate $200 to send kids to Tim Horton Children’s Foundation camps. As part of this initiative, Glenn brought 250 kids from Tim Horton Children’s Foundation camps to a game at Ivor Wynne Stadium in August and met with them afterwards.
Glenn is also an active member of various Ticats community programs, including BeFit, Cops and Cats Basketball and makes frequent charitable appearances throughout Hamilton on behalf of the team.
Glenn is the fifth player in Ticats history to earn the Tom Pate Award and the second in three years, following Marwan Hage’s nod in 2009.
