MEDLOCK RECOGNIZED AS SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hamilton, Ontario – Hamilton Tiger-Cats kicker/punter Justin Medlock has been recognized as the CFL Special Teams Player of the Week after his strong performance in the Ticats 42-10 win over the B.C. Lions last Saturday.
Medlock connected on all seven of his field goal attempts against the Lions, including four kicks from over 40 yards out. Medlock also punted eight times for 347 yards (43.4 average).
This season, Medlock has made 45 of 51 field goal attempts (88.2%) and has averaged 41.5 yards per punt.
This is the second time Medlock has been named CFL Special Teams Player of the Week in 2011.
