The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced a series of initiatives focused in the City of St. Catharines today, including a team practice and fan fest that will take place next Monday.
The Ticats encourage fans to come watch the team practice at St. Catharines’ Kiwanis Field (240 St. Paul St. West) on Monday, October 10 at 11:00am and join the team on the field for autographs and photos afterwards.
Along with the action on the field, there will be interactive inflatables, a Ticats Cheerleaders photo area, the latest Ticats merchandise, food and music and more.
Other initiatives that were announced include:
– St. Catharines Mayor Brian MacMullen proclaimed that the Tiger-Cats are ‘St. Catharines’ football team’
– The team has created a high school mentorship program, in which Ticats players will serve as mentors and guest football coaches at St. Catharines high schools. Beginning in 2012, season seat holders in St. Catharines will be provided with free shuttles to and from Ivor Wynne Stadium.
