THIGPEN NAMED SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hamilton, Ontario – Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver/kick returner Marcus Thigpen has been named the CFL’s Special Teams Player of the Week after his standout performance against the Calgary Stampeders in Moncton on Sunday.
Thigpen returned a missed field goal 118 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter of the Ticats 55-36 win while also returning three punts for 17 yards. On offence, he made the most of his first career start at receiver, hauling in six passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns.
Thigpen is currently second among all CFL players with 1,542 combined yards.
