STALA NAMED CANADIAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hamilton, Ontario – Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Dave Stala has been named the CFL Canadian Player of the Week after his outstanding performance in the Ticats 34-26 victory over the Montreal Alouettes last Friday.
Stala caught five passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s win, with his most important grab coming on a 58-yard fourth quarter touchdown that put the Black and Gold ahead for good.
Through five weeks, the nine-year CFL veteran has caught 19 passes for 260 yards and is tied for the league-lead with five touchdowns.
