Ticats Partners Team Up To Help Local Teen
Shari Levine is a 16-year old daughter of a long time Ticats Season Seat Holder who is on a quest to raise $10,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life. Shari was inspired to raise money for this worthwhile cause when she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer over a year ago. She started her charitable efforts last year and was successful enough to be the top youth fundraiser in Ontario. She is currently cancer free and enjoying some much needed rest time at summer camp. Shari has until July 17th to reach her goal and several Ticats partners have stepped up to help raise money.
Stirling Print Solutions will be hosting a charity barbeque at their location on 374 King Street East in Hamilton tomorrow, Friday July 8th, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Ticats players will be on hand to sign autographs and raffle tickets can be purchased to win a Dylan Barker autographed jersey and other door prizes. Other companies, including Pepsi, Genuine Bakery, Beach Road Meats, Dennigers, Old Dutch and Brothers Equipment have donated equipment and supplies for the day.
Spotless Dry Cleaners will be taking donations at their Milton, Burlington, Mississauga and Oakville locations and each person who donates will be entered to win tickets to the Ticats July 16th home game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Spotless Dry Cleaners has also agreed to match any donations that are made.
Finally, the Jack Astor’s location at Eastgate Square will also be taking donations and will raffle off a Jamall Johnson autographed jersey at our away game party on Saturday night. Come down to Jack Astor’s to watch the Ticats face the Edmonton Eskimos beginning at 7:00 p.m. and cheer on the team with other fans of the Black and Gold.
