MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes selected Quebec-born offensive lineman Kristian Matte of the Concordia University Stingers with their first pick in the first round, seventh overall, of the 2010 CFL Canadian Draft. He became the second-consecutive offensive lineman to be selected in the first round by the Alouettes after Dylan Steenebergen in 2009.

The Alouettes followed up their opening pick with the last two selections of the second round, drafting defensive lineman Chima Ihekwoaba of the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks and linebacker Curtis Dublanko from the NCAA North Dakota Fighting Sioux.
