OFC releases 2007 schedule

(CFL.ca wire) — The Ontario Football Conference has expanded to five teams for the 2007 season with the addition of the Tri City Vipers. The Vipers, as their name suggests, call three centres home, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph. They will open their inaugural season on the road against the AKO Fratmen on Sat. July 28 in Windsor. The seven-time defending OFC Champion St. Leonard Cougars will also open on the road in London against the Beefeaters. The Burlington Braves will have the luxury of a first week bye.

The 2007 OFC champion will host the BCFC champion for the Intergold Cup (CJFL semi-final) on Sat. Oct. 20 with the winner advancing to the Canadian Bowl on Sat., Nov. 3 in Winnipeg against the Prairie Football Conference champion.
