2006 OFSAA Bowl Championship Series

TORONTO — Ontario’s 2006 high school football champions will be crowned at Rogers Centre during the 2006 OFSAA Bowl Championship Series. This two-day event will feature an awards dinner on December 6 followed by a day packed with the best high school football match-ups in the province on December 7.

The field has been expanded to 10 teams in 2006 from eight teams in 2005, resulting in an additional bowl game. The games include the all new Northern Bowl, the Western Bowl, the Golden Horseshoe Bowl, the National Capital Bowl and the premiere event, the Metro Bowl.

Two of the five games have already been setup. Kingston’s Frontenac S.S. will take on Ottawa’s St. Mark H.S. in the National Capital Bowl and Westgate Collegiate, who will travel from Thunder Bay, will battle another Northern Ontario foe, St. Mary’s College from Sault Saint Marie in the Northern Bowl. The remaining three games will be decided this week during regional playoffs.
