Week Two

Outstanding Offensive Player of the Week

Darryl Townsend – Running Back – Windsor AKO Fratmen

Darryl has captured his second award in as many weeks. The 6 foot 205 pounder proved that week one was not a fluke as he blasted through holes on his way to 226 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. The Catholic Central grad’s longest run was 56 yards in the Frat’s 34-17 victory over the Burlington Braves. He caught one short pass of 2 yards and returned one kick-off for another 51 yards.

Outstanding Defensive Player of the Week

Mike McLeod – Linebacker – Burlington Braves

Mike is part of another outstanding group of linebackers put together by the Braves. Although the Braves lost 34-17 to the Windsor AKO Fratmen the game was much closer until the victors scored two late touchdowns. Mike’s 8 solo tackles, one assisted tackle and an interception accounted for his 21 defensive points.

Outstanding Special Teams Player of the Week

Christopher Milo – Kicker – St Leonard Cougars

Christopher captured his second consecutive award as he scored 12 of the Cougars points in their 36-0 victory over the London Beefeaters. The veteran kicker converted al four touchdowns, scored two singles on kick-offs and booted field goals of 42 and 18 yards. His 5 kick-offs went for 300 yards (net 271 yards) and he punted 6 times for 210 yards (net 190 yards).
