
(CJFL) — The Burlington Braves on Thursday announced the hiring of Craig Davoren as their new head coach. Joining Davoren will be Brad Molnar as defensive coordinator and Bill Hicks as offensive coordinator.
Davoren played four seasons with the Braves from 1998 to 2001 and is a three time OFC All-Star and finalist. He has spent the last four seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Braves. Davoren is a two-time and defending Defensive MVP of the (NFC) Northern Football Conference.
Molnar coached the defensive line with Burlington last season, and spent five years as an assistant defensive coordinator with the Etobicoke Eagles. He also coached 10 seasons and won four championships in the Mississauga Football League. Molnar played in the Greater Ottawa Football League for several seasons and with Mississauga in the Northern Football Conference.
Hicks was the offensive coordinator of the Oakville Longhorns last season. He attended York University and after a successful playing career, played with the Longhorns for eight seasons, winning the league title six times. He’s won two national championships and is a six-time All-Star.
